I thought that was a really nice touch. I cried - of course!</p> <p>One of the most mellow weddings I’ve ever had the privilege to attend, the affair was full of easy warmth and affection, as if Misa and Jeff were inviting everyone to just hang out with them at a party celebrating their love for each other and for the world.</p> <p>One of the most magical moments was when everyone got on stage to dance to One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful” and somehow the lights came on! I went there when I was fifteen on a class exchange trip. I don’t speak the language and I’d never traveled out the country before, but I just decided I wanted to go. So I did. And fell in love. Sometimes I can still smell the city in the morning. Sometimes I dream about it as vividly as if I was there only yesterday. The language barrier didn’t matter. People thought I was Spanish. It felt like going home. It was a perfect morning for rolling up our sleeves and making a difference.</p> <p>The Panhandle Park Stewards are a neighborhood-based group working in partnership with the city of San Francisco to promote and preserve the Panhandle of Golden Gate Park.</p> <p>We were joined by many volunteers, including seventh graders from SF Day School, who were eager to help - even at 9:00am on a Saturday! I must admit that I, a supposedly responsible adult, was late to the park! Johnson of [ <a href="http://www.apothocurious.com/" target="_blank">Apothocurious</a> ] is taking a leap of faith to do.
